DDS 2 (814 Words)--Korean American Woman

"Smile, say cheese," I said to my family before taking a picture. Everyone smiled except my father. Whenever I think of my father,
he reminds me of a poker face because he is a person who never talks and smiles. Even as a child, I was afraid of my father because
he always had a serious face. His attitude had left me with a strong negative impression. My sense of curiosity had developed from
that time but now I understand why he never talks and smiles. My father has yellow, ugly anterior teeth. When I discovered this fact,
I realized how much the teeth were important in one's life.
I was born and brought up in Korea until when I was 16. My mother, brother, and I immigrated to America to pursue my educational
and heath care career goals. I was always interested in the health care field but my decision to pursue a dental career stems from my
volunteer and work experiences. In the last two years, my attention has become focused on dentistry as I feel this profession offers
the best opportunity to pursue my goals.
To see how a dentist's life was like, I started volunteering at the family dental office near my house but Dr. XXXX had left me with
disappointment. While volunteering, I realized that he was a person who worked for money and intellectual life. Dr. XXXX was kind
to his patients but he did not give them sincere care. He made all appointments about 30 minutes and finished every treatment too fast.
Some of the patients came back to the office and complained about the pain on the teeth that was treated. I was disappointed by his
attitude and I quit volunteering at his office about five months later. Fortunately, I found a work as a dental assistant at another
general dental office. I was lucky that I met Dr. XXXX who had high spirits, humor, and sympathetic manner for his patients. Dr.
XXXX always trys the best to provide sincere care and satisfy his patients. There was one patient who received the fixed treatment
for about three months and I still remember how she looked and what she said on the last day of the treatment. She had some of her
upper anterior teeth extracted and had bridged crown. It took longer because Dr. XXXX had to send the crown back to the dental lab
two times to make her satisfied after multiple checking. On the last day when she finally had the crown cemented on, she looked
much younger and brighter than ever before. She said she did not talk much and her ugly teeth kept her from smiling all the time.
When I heard her saying that, it reminded me of my father. I could understand his physical and emotional suffering and my strong
desire for dentistry enhanced within me.
I really enjoy working with Dr. XXXX and learning all the dental instruments and treatments. Also, I really like the job that I can
actually watch all the treatment while assisting Dr. XXXX. After working at the dental office, I realized that dentistry involves a great
deal of physical and emotional commitment and self-sacrifice to provide quality patient care. But now I see dentistry as an interesting
and challenging profession that offers the satisfying opportunity to alleviate people's physical and emotional suffering.
Through my extracurricular activities, I trained myself for the dental career. I was an active volunteer member of Milal Wheat
Mission and helped many disabled children and their families with learning. Helping disabled people was not an easy job as it was
heart-breaking at first. I could not understand what they were saying and did not know what they wanted. But as I interected with
them more frequently, I learned how to be more patient and understandable. It took time and a great deal of physical and emotional
commitment to establish a good relationship with them. However, I found myself deriving personal satisfaction from this volunteer
work. Also, as an active member of New Life Volunteering Society, I learned to connect with people from a variety of ages and
social backgrounds. Volunterring at a Chicago public school, I used a soothing tone of voice and simple vocabulary to put children at
ease. These placements allowed me to develop the essential characteristics for the dental career. I will continue to volunteer and
work as a dental assistant and try to learn as much as possible before entering a dental school.
Dentistry has the power of healing and making a great difference. I was impressed with this power and I feel that there is no greater
pleasure than the ability to use one's intellect and abilities to alleviate people's pain and physical and emotional suffering. As a dentist, I
hope that I can alleviate the pain and suffering of my patients and bring back their smile.

Why Our Prices are So Reasonable Compared to Our Competition.
Helping people with their Personal Statement or Statement of Purpose (different phrases for the same thing) is big business on the Internet.
No one really knows for sure since it is not regulated in any way; but it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of students seek help each year
with their Statement. This is because advanced study is so central to what they want for their future, and the future of their children. A well
written Statement often results in scholarship awards of tens of thousands of dollars—in other words, it is generally a good investment for both
the long and short term, a win/win situation. As a result, there are now hundreds of services providing Personal Statement of Purpose
assistance on the Internet and all have invested huge amounts of resources in an attempt to become competitive and stay that way.
We are able to keep our prices as reasonable as possible primarily because our writing team is based in the developing world: China, India,
Bolivia, etc. For one reason or another, family, the beach, economic living, working with a non-profit organization, etc.; all of our writers are
ex-pats with advanced degrees who choose to live primarily in the developing world. Some of our writers are activists, others social workers;
some are semi-retired. We are a team of North American (U.S. and Canadian) and British writers trained in a variety of areas including
Business, Law, Nursing, Public Administration, Education, Social Work, Engineering, and Biology. We share in common the fact that we enjoy
helping others achieve their dreams. It is also important to note that our writers work for less than professional writers in the US or Europe,
since we pass our developing world savings on to you--our client. And our General Manager assures you of state-of-the-art quality at the same
time that you receive maximum value for your investment..
Our prices are much more reasonable than our major competitors; www.accepted.com, for example, based in New York, charges $650.00 if
you are willing to wait, and $850.00 if you are in a hurry. Thus, we invite you to become part of a growing portion of those purchasing
assistance with their Personal Statement of Purpose on the Internet who are very glad that they turned to www.statementsofpurpose.com to
take advantage of the great value of our full, interview based service. Most people miss out because they do not know what is important to put
into their personal statement—and what is not. And this can be expensive because universities are generally very wealthy institutions that give
away billions of dollars of scholarship money to graduate students—but only to those that have very well-written Statements. It is best to seek
professional help and no one is better at this than we are. They just charge more money.
If you are available to answer any interview questions that we might have by email, then we can almost always finish your essay within no more than 3 days from the time that you make the payment on our web site and provide us with the information that we need. This is one of the great advantages of our service, that we provide rapid, timely service without asking clients for a rush fee. If you want changes made to the model essay that we send you, you must first make the indicated changes yourself. Then we will be happy to provide a final revision at no extra charge.

We do not charge a rush fee. Rather, we struggle every day, 7 days a week, to give all of our clients the best and quickest service possible. Our service has become quite popular since the quality of our work is very high and our prices quite reasonable as compared with most of our competitors. We attend to our clients in the order in which they have paid our fee here on our web site. Please note that our process often takes as up to 4 days, generally at least 3 days from the time that you have made your payment and finished submitting the information that you want taken into consideration. After making the payment, if you think of additional information that you would like to include in your statement and share it with us, please do so in an email message so that we will have that text to add to your file.
We generally use www.PayPal.com for your security and convenience. All that you need to do is fill out our Online Interview Form with sufficient detail and be sure to submit the information by clicking on the "Send Feedback" button. Sending us a resume or CV is important if you have one; and a rough draft is also very helpful as it helps to retain the authenticity of your unique voice.
