Frankly, because native English speakers with graduate degrees who for one reason or another have chosen to live in the Third World work for less money, and this is business. Making $20.00 an hour with the freedom to work as much and as often as you want is a lot better than teaching English in the Third World. I did it in Korea once myself; and I worked 240 hours a month for $1000, $4.00 an hour and my bosses treated me like a dog. Thus, this could be an attractive alternative.
